Celebrities: 69 Degrees of Paris Hilton

(I wrote this blog a year or two ago when it was still relevant but never posted it. I think you may still enjoy it, as mean spirited as it may be.)

It all revolves around Paris.

Now I don't think I am the only one that thinks this girl is a little smarter than she pretends to be. Now that doesn't mean I think she's all that smart either. She knows how to keep her name in the public eye and how to profit from it. She has somehow managed to keep her nose clean, though I can't say the same for her chin. Oh, ouch.

I have a theory about this girl that borders on defamation. It is just a theory with no real basis in fact though some of the particular details are. Britney Spears wasn't ever really a goody two-shoes even before her catastrophic fall from grace. It wasn't until she started hanging out with Paris, however, that things went really awry. That whole fishy upskirt fiasco was stepping out of Paris' car. Which I suspect was Paris' plan all along.

During this first event there were reports of two of the most popular searches on the internet. Number one was Britney and number two was Paris.

You all know many of these "candid" shots are staged. Actors being great parents at the park dressed up all fancy with full makeup and such. I would eat my shoes if there wasn't a Mexican nanny there somewhere raising all these rich brat kids. Just look for product logo's and electronics focused clearly in all of these celebrity "exposed" photos. Cell phones, purses and car logo's galore.

I think this was a staged character sabotage masterminded by Paris Hilton. Lindsay Lohan was quick to follow, as soon as she came of age. (You will forgive me if I get the sequence wrong, I wasn't really keeping any timeline. ;)

Paris Hilton was also a "victim" of the media. But notice the difference. It almost seemed as if it was a produced release. It fell within the realm of exactly what she thought would promote her career. She wasn't wasted or plastered like Lindsay and Britney were. Both under Paris' care of course.

Paris has always been a world traveler. Paris has a lot of business connections because of her family. Not all those connections are legitimate business related I'm sure.

What am I suggesting?

I think an unauthorized Paris Hilton autobiography will be released including admissions including minor drug trafficking, conspiracy to commit character defamation and drug pushing.

She pulls people into whirlpools of desperation and offers them the drugs she can get internationally to cope.

Have you seen Paris Hilton's new "reality" TV show "My New Best Friend" or whatever? It's never in my nature to watch the incoherent crap that MTV broadcasts, and when I'm not watching MSNBC or CNN I'm watching The Office, but I just so happened to switch this ridiculous show on a couple days ago. Let me tell you, my friend, this is the most shallow thing I've ever seen in my life. No exaggeration. As a contest, she made all the contestants trying to be her "best friend" get make-overs, and the ones who refused got booted off the show, much to their advantage I think.

Just thought I'd share. =)

I would probably check it out just for ammo building purposes but we don't have cable. If we did I would probably get addicted to the History Channel. :(

I can't stand the whole Paris Hilton, Brittney Spears, Lindsey Lohan drama.
I have way to much more important things to consume my time, than there ridiculous 3 muskateers.

I used to take the Grand North to Badillo and then to Arrow, but I hate the stupid stop lights all the way through, and I like the freeway much better. It's a lot quicker, especially with the timing of all my classes. Thanks for the tips though. Yeah, I'm going up north tomorrow. Spare of the moment. My aunt called and asked if I wanted to go with her, and my mom wants to see me really bad so I accepted. And plus, I miss my friends, so it's cool. Don't forget to watch the debates tonight. I'm sure there will be bloodshed.

This is a response to your concern about whether it is defamation to write untrue things about "Paris". Why would it be wrong to express your opinion. Freedom of speech is guaranteed in the Bill of Rights.

>Pookalou: Same here. I can't stand it when the news starts with information about them. The same day that people were murdered, news broadcasters were all about Britney's hair shaving. :S I don't search for this stuff and my brain is still filled with all their junk. Why do I know what they had for lunch yesterday damnit! I think its a ploy to make us forget that we're at war.

>Lea: Yeah there weren't that many when I was there. that one half way down was rather recent do to a fatality accident. I saw the results but didn't witness the event. It always takes death to spur action.

Speaking of death, the debates might make me throw something at the TV in frustration. I might watch them for a while.

>gaf85: Its gotten to a point where freedom of speech isn't quite guaranteed. You can be held liable for defamation of character. If you spread lies. I "think" this is what is happening but I don't know for sure. If a potential employer of hers was by some miracle reading this blog, then didn't give her a job because of it, I could be held liable.

Freedom of speech was never 100%.

The common example used in legal education is the fire in the theater. If you are in a movie theater and you try to prank them into freaking out by yelling fire. If someone gets hurt, trampled or even dies, you would be directly blamed for manslaughter.
