You can be held liable for defamation of character. If you spread lies. I "think" this is what is happening but I don't know for sure. If a potential employer of hers was by some miracle reading this blog, then didn't give her a job because of it, I could be held liable.

Freedom of speech was never 100%.

The common example used in legal education is the fire in the theater. If you are in a movie theater and you try to prank them into freaking out by yelling fire. If someone gets hurt, trampled or even dies, you would be directly blamed for manslaughter.HektikLyfehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02865530974330320159noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8212720230352979793.post-80300817756452093182008-10-02T17:03:00.000-07:002008-10-02T17:03:00.000-07:00>Pookalou: Same here. The same day that people were murdered, news broadcasters were all about Britney's hair shaving. :S I don't search for this stuff and my brain is still filled with all their junk. Why do I know what they had for lunch yesterday damnit! I think its a ploy to make us forget that we're at war.

>Lea: Yeah there weren't that many when I was there. that one half way down was rather recent do to a fatality accident. I saw the results but didn't witness the event. It always takes death to spur action.

Speaking of death, the debates might make me throw something at the TV in frustration. I might watch them for a while.HektikLyfehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02865530974330320159noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8212720230352979793.post-5140479663425539412008-10-02T17:02:00.000-07:002008-10-02T17:02:00.000-07:00This is a response to your concern about whether i...This is a response to your concern about whether it is defamation to write untrue things about "Paris". Why would it be wrong to express your opinion. Freedom of speech is guaranteed in the Bill of Rights.gaf85https://www.blogger.com/profile/07366611063698368921noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8212720230352979793.post-4098635375782092362008-10-02T14:35:00.000-07:002008-10-02T14:35:00.000-07:00I used to take the Grand North to Badillo and then...I used to take the Grand North to Badillo and then to Arrow, but I hate the stupid stop lights all the way through, and I like the freeway much better. It's a lot quicker, especially with the timing of all my classes. Thanks for the tips though. Yeah, I'm going up north tomorrow. Spare of the moment. My aunt called and asked if I wanted to go with her, and my mom wants to see me really bad so I accepted. And plus, I miss my friends, so it's cool. Don't forget to watch the debates tonight. I'm sure there will be bloodshed.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8212720230352979793.post-18606529761825309682008-10-02T14:23:00.000-07:002008-10-02T14:23:00.000-07:00I can't stand the whole Paris Hilton, Brittney Spe...I can't stand the whole Paris Hilton, Brittney Spears, Lindsey Lohan drama.
I have way to much more important things to consume my time, than there ridiculous 3 muskateers.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8212720230352979793.post-46917436270115836632008-10-02T14:04:00.000-07:002008-10-02T14:04:00.000-07:00I would probably check it out just for ammo buildi...I would probably check it out just for ammo building purposes but we don't have cable. It's never in my nature to watch the incoherent crap that MTV broadcasts, and when I'm not watching MSNBC or CNN I'm watching The Office, but I just so happened to switch this ridiculous show on a couple days ago. Let me tell you, my friend, this is the most shallow thing I've ever seen in my life. No exaggeration. As a contest, she made all the contestants trying to be her "best friend" get make-overs, and the ones who refused got booted off the show, much to their advantage I think.

Just thought I'd share. =)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
