Jury Duty

Seriously.

I'm here, hungry and unhappy. The room is full of old people that smell like smoke and egg yolk. The few young people in here are nervously looking around the room like me. I really don't like metal detectors and hate holding my pants up while entering an office building.

So I will be blogging less than usual today.

I hope they will let you out before lunch. Are there any vending machines?

I voted in the "girl" poll! Hello from "That's My Answer!"

>Iris: They did! They had us in 4 groups and released all the Hispanics at once. I'm back to work now getting paid. It only cost me about 2 hours of work time.

>Mar: Me too. I have to rush home to work on the house. Hopefully I will get some time to unwind.

>Shannon: I recognize the name from the top of the list! Welcome. Glad to see you here. I apologize if this boring blog post was the first you encounter. I promise they are not usually so content lacking.

Wait... Jury duty as in "we the jury find the defendant... guilty"? You were a part of it? Did you choose to be on the jury or were you chosen? Its risky business, man. I wouldn't want to get involved in someone's court case. What if some psychopath comes back to you years later to kick your butt because he is still angry with your decision?

Yeah that type of Jury Duty. But they released us. As soon as I got there I noticed 4 long lists. I was in a list with a bunch of other Hispanics so I was pretty sure they would let us go for the day. They did and I only wasted 3 hours of my day without pay.

As far as angering a psychopath, some countries fair far worse and have leaders that are angry psychopaths. Its an annoyance but part of our duty as citizens of this place where we feel relatively safe.
