Blurb - Word Verification

Anyone else notice that the word verification on your blog usually has something to do with the context of your site? I doubt its purely coincidental. If I am right then that could potentially degrade spam security. Not much, but it sure doesn't help.

Next time you post a comment, take a look at the captcha. I've noticed it is a combination of words somewhere in the blog or site in general. How difficult is to to create a randomizer, really?

The captcha for this comment is "frama", not too sure what that means. I'll keep an eye on captchas in the future, see if I can figure out what they mean.

>Farhan: Frama huh? Hmm, the closest thing I found is a jumble of letters in your name and the word spam.

I frequently post in Docteur Glamour's blog and that's where I first noticed. I would frequently get words with Desi in it. She has that term in many places on her blog.

the captcha for this comment is "butsca." not too sure what that means either but I'm definitely going to pay closer attention to it. maybe I should start posting vulgar words on my blog just to see if it will have an effect on the captchas. just kidding, kind of. well thanks for the heads up!

Yeah I had realized how Frama and my name kind of resembled each other. But I thought to myself why would it play around with my name for a captcha and thought it was a coincidence. But yeah, its possible.

>Jessica: You know that would be the best way to find out for sure. Curse words do have a certain easily distinguishable letter combination. ;) Butsca ~ captcha? Three of those letters are also in your name, much like Farhan's...

>Farhan: I only noticed it after repeated offenses. So I thought I would ask you guys to get a broader survey sample than only my assumptions.

>Iris: Farhan and I have discussed Anti-virus applications here. I have written blogs about dial up internet access and other applications. I know I'm on to something here. It's probably not even a secret and I'm over here playing Sherlock Holmes.

this is hilarious. i never even thought to look at the word verification. have you seen the movie "23". well, it's not that great. very predictable. but the character sees the number 23 in everything.

or the "bible code" which was mathematically shown to be a hoax. people often see what they want to see. is this simply what's happening with you?

existence due to the observer? The cat in the box doesn't exist if you can't see it...

mine for this post is "sumbudi".

>Ryan: I DID see that movie. It was with Jim Carey right? I thought that it was all in my mind as well until that Desi captcha. Twice on a blog of a person that happened to be Desi. Just too coincidental.

sumbudi huh? Can't see a thing. Just the "bu" and "di" letter combinations.
