I read this article today and it made me both sad and concerned.
A chunk of ice spreading across 7 square miles (18 square kilometers) has broken off a Canadian ice shelf in the Arctic... "We're in a different climate now," Mueller said. "It's not conducive to regrowing them. It's a one-way process." Gary Stern said, "...it's the same story all around the Arctic. We've been trying to get the word out for the longest time now that things are happening fast and they're going to continue to happen fast."
So what will you do today to extend our life on this planet a little longer? I use a Hybrid car for my commute and use a lot less plastic bags when I go shopping for groceries but I know I can do more. I just have to try a little harder. Shut off the lights I'm not using. Turn the air conditioning down a notch, shut off my PC when I'm not sitting in front of it and other things like that.
You guys have any examples or suggestions of things you do or could do or do you think it is too late?
