This Girl Is Amazing!

No, not her Shannon Doherty off-center eyes.

This girl is amazing because she does not exist. She was created using a new technology developed by Image Metrics. This is cool. No more overpaid drug addict life wasting actors to support and stop traffic.

I feel sorry for girls though. If you thought the bar was unfairly high before... Hopefully next time they will try to make a pretty one.

WOW! Now that is what I call great facial animation! Surpasses what Quantic Dream is doing (with Heavy Rain) by leaps and bounds.

OMG talk about a Weird Science come to life!

I didn't see Ninja Theory, the creators of Heavenly Sword, in the list of clients.

I wonder if they shared some of the same creative minds?

I don't know about Heavenly Sword, but it looks like Image Metrics worked with Rockstar on GTA IV. The characters in that game look like crap and yet this Emily chick is impressive. Why so much difference between the two? Did IMet work only on facial motion capture? But even the mo-cap wasn't that great in GTA IV, right?

I agree completely, GTAIV WAS very ugly. Even the people that were supposed to be pretty, were ugly and their animations were very stiff.

Perhaps it requires more process power than the consoles can handle?

Either way, Heavenly Sword on the PS3 did it so that tells me whatever process Ninja Theory used may just be more efficient.
