Meme - Wednesday Weirdness

1.) Do you have anything planned for your father for Father's Day? If so, what?

Nothing planned as of yet. I'm not a dad so this day is only for me to be available to celebrate for others. My family usually plans ahead of time but lately its been last minute events for everything. Only four days left and there aren't any plans. Last year we showed up really late to a park that was full and closed due to it reaching maximum capacity. We had to "sneak" in. It was terribly humiliating but it turned out OK. Who breaks in to a park, really?

2.) If you could visit anywhere in the world with all your expenses paid for each trip, where would you go?

You know I think about this. I hate LONG trips so anything far away like Japan or Australia would be out of the question. A world tour with small hopping flights might be more to my liking. I am afraid of heights though so it would be a mostly terrible experience. The first place I would visit is New York. I know, its a city and its ugly just like Los Angeles where I currently reside. I don't like urban areas but I imagine it would be like an alternate universe. The same but different enough for you to realize it is another part of the world. I am a little afraid to visit other countries because so many people hate American's right now. I can't even play on XBox Live or the PlayStation Network without foreigners teaming up on the "Capeetalist American peeg!"

3.) What are a few things you have done that you previously said you would never do?

Well I got married. That's not a bad thing. I said I would never do that because I thought I never would. Not that I wouldn't want to. I was just this dorky teenager into video games, books and rap music and I never thought any female in her right mind would voluntarily spend the rest of her life with me. I found one. :)

4.) How do you react to the bodily functions (passing gas, burping, etc) of your significant other?

Well, we believe in working hard to keep the romance alive in our relationship. In the 8 years we have known each other we have yet to pass gas in each others presence. To some people it may seem petty, but we think it shows that you still care. We make sure we look clean and smell good around each other. I think its a very healthy way to make your relationship last a long time and we are both in it for the long haul. Unfortunately most people in our society can't say the same.

5.) What are you allergic to?

I wish I knew. I've never been allergic to anything but recently I think I have been developing them. I walk down a hallway or something and I start sneezing and my eyes water. Nothing around to place the blame on. On our first trip to Maui I had an allergic reaction to some soap in the hotel washroom.

6.) If you could go back in time and meet any passed historical figure, who would you choose and why?

Oooh a chance for controversy. I would go back and try to find Jesus. Just to see if he existed at all and/or if he was the Messianic figure they make him out to be. If he did exist I would ask him why He and his Dad are so darn vague.

7.) Honestly, how often do you check up on any of your exes?

"Check up" is a key term here. This assumes some sort of a sneaky way about it. There is only one out of the 3 exes that I have ever had that I "check up" on and it wasn't really "checking up" on. I found her on MySpace and I was curious to see how she was doing. I wasn't interested in her in the least but I just looked around her page and befriended her. She was my only real connection to High School since I pretty much abandoned everyone from the time of my life. Good riddance.

1.) Do you have anything planned for your father for Father's Day? If so, what?
Going to spend a day at the lake. Hope we can take our dog! ^__^

2.) If you could visit anywhere in the world with all your expenses paid for each trip, where would you go?

All over the world!
I may or may not skip some places.

3.) What are a few things you have done that you previously said you would never do?

I said I would never be content with my physical self.

4.) How do you react to the bodily functions (passing gas, burping, etc) of your significant other?
Never heard them. He keeps them to himself. If he does burp, I usually say Bless You.

5.) What are you allergic to?
I breakout if I eat too many peanuts. Don't think that's an allergy though.

6.) If you could go back in time and meet any passed historical figure, who would you choose and why?
I would choose to meet my bio grandmother and just find out why she really gave up my mom as a newborn.

7.) Honestly, how often do you check up on any of your exes?

I only hear about them when mutual friends care to tell me. But it's been a long time.

Finally... survey questions that actually make sense. The Daily Meme is pretty good! Interesting read, Hektik.

2) The places that I want to visit are countries that have rich, real history. Egypt, China, Japan and Greece mainly. Other places I want to see are much of the rest of Africa (while also focusing on wildlife), other countries in the orient (Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia and Korea), then there are also UAE and Saudi Arabia. All of these are amazing places. And there are more. Luckily, I enjoy being in airplanes, so traveling by air is no problem for me.
New York city is nice and flashy, and there are a lot of things to do there, but it doesn't have that downtown beauty, in my opinion. Chicago clearly is much more beautiful :p

6) Historical figure I'd like to meet is Shah Jahan. Its amazing how much he was devoted to his wife, Mumtaz, whom he built the beautiful Taj Mahal in the memory of. I have tremendous respect for him for that.

1) Me and my family have actually never celebrated Mother's or Father's Day. Its just like any other day to us. Hell, I didn't even know F's Day was coming up. lol. I was at Jewel this past M's Day and was in the check out lane with groceries whereas everyone else was buying flowers and cards for their parents. I felt weird being there at that time. lol.

3) Hmm, I drank sprite the other day. I always tell myself I'll never drink a soft drink ever again, but every few weeks, I end up getting one with subway or something. And I told myself I'll never buy non-organic fruits ever again, but end up buying the regular stuff. Organics are so much more expensive. Its crazy.

4) I had a "significant other" only once in my life, and that didn't last so long. So I can't comment on that. lol.

5) I have no allergies, thank God. But I don't understand what the deal with peanuts is, so many are allergic to them.

7) What exes? The one who was so much stupid drama in high school? lol. no thanks. And I'm 20 years old, I have much more important things to do than being in a relationship right now.

I'm very content with your physical self. :)

I would also like to travel to those places. But I can't stand heat and humidity so most would be out of the question. I'll stick to watching the History Channel. :) Now if I only had cable...

6) Shah Jahan built the beautiful Taj Mahal.

I never knew that. One of the world's wonders created out of love as a gift? Impressive. He sets a high bar for us guys.

1) I felt weird being there at that time. lol.

I know what you mean. I feel the same way watching T.V. during the month of February or walking through town when their is a parade I don't know the significance of.

3) I always tell myself I'll never drink a soft drink ever again. Organics are so much more expensive. Its crazy.

I "gave up" soda recently. I'm on a diet. I don't think I'll ever drink caffeinated soda again but I might go back to Sprite after the diet. I've been drinking a lot of water and lemonade when I go to restaurants. Its funny that organic foods are so expensive when they should be free right? They grow out of the freakin' ground and no human invented seeds. What gives us the right to charge for them. We can grow vegetables in our back yards. I know Sprite doesn't grow from tree's!

7) And I'm 20 years old, I have much more important things to do than being in a relationship right now.

Wow dude. That is a tough choice but you are on the best most direct path to success. Impressive.
