Puddles

This past Friday I had to work. Not many other people at my company did so I was relatively alone. It felt like a Saturday and the fact that my wife stayed home from work added to that feeling of, "what the hell am doing here?

I have to drive a golf cart between buildings and given that it had just rained, the roads were all wet and there were some pretty big puddles. The kid in me got out that day. What is it about splashing puddles that is so gratifying? File this under "Simple things in life I enjoy" for later reference.

because sometimes we realize we need to be a child again,,and just "be", enjoy what is there to enjoy,,,the spur of the moment.

A good thing that's free. Glad you recognize it. There are more, we just have to look for them.

I like to find frozen puddles at this time of year and go 'slickering'.

What is slickering, you may ask? It is a new word we made up for putting on rubber soled shoes, finding a big empty frozen parking lot, and running as fast as you can and then sliding...competing to see who can slide the farthest on their feet. We still do this regularly, at 33. If growing up means no more 'slickering', I want none o' it!

Oh how I love to run through the puddles of rain and splash through them all. There is something about it that makes you feel soo good! Plus it never hurts to be a kid! Thanks for reminding us of this! Hope all is well in your corner of the world!

puddles are great - you know what I hate though? When someone in a car drives into a puddle and you're standing right next to it...!

et voila, before my time at the internet cafe is up - my interview to you:

1 - what inspired you to start blogging and would you ever stop?

2 - What is the best memory you have so far of your life?

3 - And the worst?

4 - Three good and three bad things about you?

5 - If you could have any job in the world you wanted - what would it be?
